Covid 19 Vaccinations in Burgess Hill

Here is the latest update re vaccinations in Sussex We are asking patients to please wait to be contacted to save our phone lines for patients who need medical appointments. The GP practices in Burgess Hill and surrounding villages are going to be working together to organise the mass vaccination programme for our local area. It is a huge undertaking delivering 50,000+ vaccinations over the next six months.

There is a set order in which NHS England are asking us to invite patients based on a person's risk grouping calculated from the clinical record. We are working our way through our 13,200+ registered patients, please DO NOT contact us about vaccination, we will contact you.

Repeat Prescriptions

greepillsIf you are on long term medication you will be given a computerised repeat prescription.  This will have a list of your drugs attached and you should retain this to use when ordering a repeat prescription. Please tick the items required.

Please allow two working days for your prescription to be prepared.

Repeat Prescriptions may be requested by:

  1. Following the link on this page to the secure online service
  2. Leaving your request at either surgery
  3. Post, enclosing a stamped addressed envelope if the prescription is to be returned

We do not accept prescription requests over the phone but in exceptional circumstances it may be possible to waive this. This will need to be authorised by your doctor or the Practice Manager.

The reasoning behind this decision is to make sure we are reducing the opportunity for human error and prescribing in a safe manner. In addition it also maximises the availability of telephone lines for patients contacting the surgery for urgent problems, appointments or important results. There is always a great pressure on the phone system, no matter how many extra staff or telephone lines we have. We hope you will understand.

Local pharmacies collect prescriptions from the surgery on a daily basis so please indicate whether you would like your repeat prescription to be sent directly to the chemist of your choice or whether you would like to collect it from Silverdale or the Avenue Surgery.

An annual review date can be found on the repeat slip. This is simply a reminder for your doctor
